Lunaria recently designed a three-gait leaflet to the Forestry Commission Scotland for use within their Central Scotland Engagement Programme. The programme is intended to promote and encourage access to Scotland’s forests and woodland.

Luanria were recently asked to create a A4 Gaited document for SCCIP (Scottish Climate Change Impacts Partnership). The item had to reflect and communicate its content to the public sector and make a notable impact. We worked closely with the client to create a striking design

Luanria were recently asked to create a 6 page document for SNIFFER (Scotland and Northern Ireland Forum for Environmental Research). The document’s aim is to create an item that raised awareness about P.25 in the UK. Working closely with the client we created a striking contemporary and functional, minimal design.

All the shots taken were supplied to the Forestry Commision for use in thier image library.

Xpress Recruitment required a set of Corporate Portraits of all their members of staff for use in their new website, for staff profiles in Social Media (Facebook, Linkedin etc) and for use in publications.Lunaria  understanding the time constraints on client  and the logistic problems that would be inherent in bringing all the members of staff to Lunaria’s photographic studio at the Design Room. The solution was to identify space within Xpress’s own offices where a portable studio could be set up ensuring that each individual was not away for their desk for more than 15 minutes. The resulting shots were presented as an on-line gallery which allowed “favourite” shots to be selected and downloaded. High resolution shots are also available for publication in newspapers and magazine articles.

Lunaria were commissioned to produce a series of aerial photographs of several locations in and around Glasgow including the East End Relief Road (close to Celtic Park) and the M80 extension. Despite the vagaries of the Scottish weather the client required the images to be captured before the end of January. By liaising closely with both the client and the pilot a suitable “window” in the weather was identified and a flight was successfully scheduled.

Creating persuasive marketing communications needs early planning.

Lunaria worked on the design and typesetting of this milestone 480 page book for Graphic Enterprise Scotland, the chief print employers organisation in Scotland. The publication both celebrates and recounts a hundred years of the organisations existence. The cover art was created in conjunction with talented Stirling based artist Owain Kirby, who specialised in the Litho cut method for the creation of his work.

Musical Instruments at Your Fingertips (MIAYF) is a means by which the Edinburgh University Collection of Historic Musical Instruments (EUCHMI) can bring its incredible collection to a wider audience. EUCHMI ranks among the world’s most important collections of musical heritage. This Leaflet is part of a wider study in identity which Lunaria has helped to create along with their website.

Lunaria were proud to have been involved in the creation of CAMERAS (a Co–ordinated Agenda for Marine, Environment and Rural Affairs Science). The Website promotes the agenda, which aims to ensure that the marine, environment and rural science in Scotland supports the Government’s single purpose of creating a more successful country, with opportunities for all of Scotland to flourish, through increasing sustainable economic growth.

Docherty Consulting required a website as a part of a community consultation project for a proposed windfarm development. The site was intended as a point of reference for those interested in following the progess of the proposal and as such had to be easily updated by the Docherty team. WordPress was chosen as a suitable basis for the website and as a CMS (content management system) proved ideal for their needs.

In addition to the website the project called for the design and production of printed materials, in the form of leaflets and posters, and display items to act as signage at the various local venues where public meeting were held.

Glasgow based artist Sadia Gul Ibrahim asked Lunaria to create a website as means of exhibiting her work online. This involved photographing several of her mixed media artworks which included finished pieces varying in size form a few centimetres to two metres or more. All the shots were taken in Lunaria’s photographic studio at the Design Room. The website was created using WordPress and was funded by The Edinburgh Mela “New Work New Directions” project in conjuction with Creative Scotland.

Billed as a “a risk-taking, water-soaked exploration” capturing images at the World Premiere of Iron Oxide’s production “Cargo” proved to be a challenging photographic asignment. Not only did the show move around a large outdoor set, and featured pyrotechnics and water jets but it was also staged at night.
Whislt this posed a few technical diffuclulties it did allow the opportunity for some exciting images to be produced and passed onto the event’s PR agency for distribution to the press the following morning.

In addition to the wide range of design and marketing functions that we offer to the Edinburgh Mela Festival, Lunaria also provide photographic services. Lunaria was on site throughout the 2010 Mela, photographing specific performances and artists as well as recording the colour and excitement of this unique Scottish event.
